The website redesign for Southern Strategy Group Louisiana (SSG) was a comprehensive initiative aimed at modernizing the firm’s digital presence and reinforcing its position as a leading force in governmental affairs and lobbying within the state. With a focus on strategic communication, visual clarity, and user-centered design, the project sought to deliver a digital experience that reflects SSG’s professionalism, credibility, and evolving brand identity.
The primary objectives of the redesign were threefold: to enhance the user experience (UX), modernize the user interface (UI), and align the website with the firm’s updated brand positioning. These goals were driven by the need to provide a more intuitive experience for visitors, and ensure the site performs effectively across modern devices and browsers.
Our new website, celebrating our 20 years in business and brand revamp, has officially launched! The new site honors our two decades of service to our clients & stakeholders and outlines the values at our core.
My role in this project was to:
⦿ Oversee the development of the site, starting from wireframe feedback to post-launch testing.
⦿ Ensure the site met modern standards for functionality and usability.
⦿ Maintain accessibility standards.
⦿ Make sure the design followed a seamless responsive layout.
Acting as the bridge between strategy, design, and execution, I guided the team in adhering to best practices for web usability, accessibility, and responsive design. I consistently provided feedback throughout the wire-framing and mockup phases to ensure the intended design would be user-centric, making the development process easier for our dev team. From there, I oversaw both the development phase and content population process, along with reviewing and editing feedback from designers to yield results from our development team. My role was instrumental in building this custom site within a given timeframe, communicating needs from our design team to our development team, and testing the site pre-and post-launch. Now, SSG’s audience can utilize a site that is an intuitive and engaging digital experience.
